Susan Alexander and her son, Tom Alexander, are a mother-son pair who established their first joint company endeavor in Hockessin in 2011. Susan Alexander is the owner, and Tom Alexander is the operator. Their mission is straightforward: to provide people of Hockessin with handcrafted comfort cuisine cooked in a distinctive manner utilizing only the freshest ingredients available. Lettie’s was created after months of market research and test dinners prepared in Susan’s home kitchen for family and friends, the idea for which was conceived.

A little distance away from the Francis J. Swift Memorial Park, on Old Lancaster Pike, you can find Lettie’s Restaurant. Fran also happens to be Lettie’s spouse, Susan’s father, and Tom’s grandpa, to name a few relationships.
