A large assortment of healthful and nourishing foods, nutritional supplements, and associated goods was the goal when Harvest Market opened its doors in 1995 in Hockessin and the neighboring villages. Now at their third site, they have grown to provide one of the region’s finest choices of natural foods—or what their great-grandparents referred to as “food.” A year later, they established Harvest Market Kitchen, which serves soups, salads, sandwiches, side dishes, baked goods, and more cooked from scratch using the greatest quality ingredients they can find. Unlike other markets, Harvest Market Natural Foods adheres to strict product specifications. Harvest Market Natural Foods is devoted to assisting small and medium-sized farmers and producers in the community. Fresh, nutrient-dense foods grown on small, family-owned, and run farms are the greatest health-promoting foods available. In addition, purchasing from local farmers and producers keeps your food money moving in their area, where they may be used to support their neighbors’ businesses. It also benefits the environment by lowering the number of fossil fuels required for transportation and preventing the growth of agriculture in the process. Next Blog Post >>>
